FEMICARE
(FACE WASH)
(2% Salicylic Acid)
Why is Femicare used for acne treatment?
The main reason salicylic acid is
used for acne is because it is a ‘keratolytic’. (Keratolytic therapy is
treatment to remove warts and other lesions in which
the epidermis produces excess skin) This means it breaks down and
exfoliates (چِھلکا اُتارنا ۔ پَرت
اُتارنا) dead skin
cells. Salicylic acid is particularly good for the blocked pore type of
acne because it penetrates the hair follicle and helps keep the pores from getting
clogged. Typically for acne, salicylic acid is used in 0.5 – 2%
strengths.
Why is Femicare great for skin?
Salicylic acid is great for gently but effectively reducing
blocked pore type of acne. It is also great for helping to lighten any
discoloration or hyper pigmentation (Hyper pigmentation may be caused by sun
damage, inflammation, or other skin injuries, including those related
to acne vulgaris) that result from the acne as it heals in ethnic
skin. Even sensitive skin can typically tolerate low concentrations
of salicylic acid. One way to reap the benefits of salicylic acid while
minimizing the irritation is to use salicylic acid as a wash.
